CAMHEAD COMES ALIVE
At the 37th International Filmfestival Rotterdam the short film Camhead
will be presented for the first time. It is the debut of director Daniel
van den Broeke (de Glazen Kin). The film is made for the program Kort Rotterdams.
Security cameras are made for only one purpose: registration of misery. Camhead
comes alive and tries to break away from his function as a security camera.
When he runs into an illegal party in the harbor of Rotterdam, he starts to see
things in a different light.
This adrenaline-driven film is completely recorded with a security camera and
shows the raw side of Rotterdam.
Teun Kuilboer plays the title role. The music was
written by producer Kubus
from Zwolle, who wrote two tracks especially for this film.
A comic about the film was made by the Amsterdam Comic Guerilla and handprinted
by sandra Kleine Staarman.
